Welcome to Holy Ground
living life as if we are walking on holy ground
We’re Ethan and Makayla — a gardener and a table-setter, a writer and a cook, a spiritual director and a nutritionist-in-training. We’re also partners, parents, and people doing our best to live as if the ground beneath our feet is sacred.
Holy Ground Collective is our shared space for slow reflections on land, food, the body, and the spirit. We write from within the Christian tradition — it’s the language that has shaped our roots — but we hope this space is hospitable to anyone hungry for a deeper connection to the earth and to each other.
Here you’ll find:
- 🌿 Tending the Sacred Ground – Ethan’s reflections on land, care, and the spiritual wisdom of growing things
- 🥣 Feeding the Sacred Body – Makayla’s meditations on food, nourishment, and the sacredness of eating well
- Simple, seasonal meals that honor both nourishment and story
- Notes on slowing down, paying attention, and finding meaning in everyday rhythms
- Stories of parenting, practice, and being human together
We believe that the soil is full of lessons, the table is a sacred gathering place, and that tending and feeding are sacred acts — wherever you are on your journey.
Come walk with us. There’s room for you here.
